Cover: A constructed ribbon representation for the tetetramer of Escherichia coli glycerol facilitator (GlpF) with glycerol substrate based on the view of Fu et al. (2000, Science 290:481-486), who solved the monomer structure. In each crystal GlpF monomer (PDB entry 1FX8), the two related segments are colored in orange and blue, and the three glycerols lined up within the channel pathway are shown as space-filling models in yellow.
