Cover picture: IPRO is an iterative protein redesign and optimization program that identifies mutations in the parental sequences that when propagated downstream in the combinatorial library improves the average quality of the library (e.g., stability, binding affinity, specific activity, etc.). IPRO can also be used to design individual hybrid sequences and involves six main steps highlighted in the figure. See the article by Saraf et al. on page 4167.
