Cover picture: Rat cardiomyocytes were left untreated (top) or infected with an adenovirus coexpressing human TnC and GFP (bottom), and subsequently processed for immunohistochemistry. Confocal imaging revealed a periodic Z-line immunostaining pattern of α-actinin (red), typical of all striated muscle. The exogenous human TnC was stably incorporated into the sarcomere, as shown by immunostaining between the Z-lines (cyan). For comparison, GFP fluorescence was removed from the adenoviral inset.
